What is Katie Got a Gun?

Looking for accessories with a little more kick?  How about something that distinguishes you from the crowd? Since 2011, Katieturquoise tassel 2 Got a Gun has been creating some seriously one of a kind designs, all made with authentic, previously fired bullet casings.  Katie Got a Gun features some of the most unique boutique jewelry and accessories in Texas.

Her Story

Being a born-and-raised Texas girl, Katie got her first BB gun at seven years old.  Needless to say, she’s a crack shot.  After a round of outdoor target practice in the summer of 2011, Katie was picking up the discarded casings and suddenly realized that she couldn’t simply throw them away.  As she held the casings in her hand, she saw everything they could be and resolved in that moment to give them a second life as something beautiful.  After creating her first pair of earrings, she was hooked.  Since then, Katie has created dozens of beautiful designs that meld the raw power of bullet casings with the casual elegance of pearls, feathers and semi-precious stones.

If You Can Dream It…

While Katie Got a Gun does have a selection of ready-made creations for immediate sale, nothing excites and challenges her more than giving life to your custom vision. Do you have a bullet casing or shell that means something to you?  Maybe you want to commemorate your first hunting trip or honor a family member in the military?  We can help.  And remember, bullet casings aren’t only for hunters and cowgirls! While she offers traditionally rustic looks, Katie is also inspired by southwestern, biker, vintage, glam, steampunk and bohemian aesthetics.  If you can dream it, she can make it a reality.

If you have a certain piece in mind or just want to kick around design ideas, don’t be afraid to contact her and definitely come see her in our showroom on November 12th.
